  • Visit the IDP IELTS portal i.e., https://www.ieltsidpindia.com/
  • You can click “BOOK NOW” from the top right corner of the main menu. Or, you can use the “Register for your Test” section on the home page’s right side.
  • Select the options from the “Select Test”, “Test Type”, and “Test City” drop-downs and click on the “Book Now” button.

IELTS Exam Date Calendar

The IELTS exam dates are offered up to 4 times a  month, totalling 48 fixed test dates in one calendar year. The availability of IELTS dates in India may differ for the Academic and General training module.  While the Academic version is available on all 48 dates, the General Training version is available on 24 dates. Exams are mostly held on Saturdays and Thursdays to create flexibility and convenience.

You must note that listening, reading, and writing (LRW) exams shall take place on the same day, while the speaking tests will be conducted up to 7 days before and/or after the exam date.   • The home page will appear on the screen. You must tap “Register for IELTS” and click the “Book Now” button on the navigation bar.
  • The registration for the IELTS page will open; here, you have to select “ Test Type”, “Test Module”, and “Test City” from the drop-down list.
  •  Once you have completed all the details, click the “Book Now” button.
  • Now, you will find a list of dates available for your preference. You must choose your desired date and time slot.
  • After that, the online application form will appear; fill out the application form with the necessary details.

  • In the login tab, you can see three login options ie., “Candidate Login”, ‘Branch Login”, and “Node Login”.
  • You must click on the “Candidate Login” option.
  • The Candidate login window will appear.

  • Here, enter your “User Name” and “Password” and then click on the “Submit” button.
  • This way, you will successfully log in to the IELTS IDP portal.
  • If you forgot your password, click the “Forgot Password” link below the login field.
  • The Reset password window will appear, here enter your “User Name”, Date of Birth”, “Passport Expiry Date”, “Latest Test Date”, “New Password”, and “Confirm Password” and then click on the “Submit” button.
  • Like this, you can change your password easily.

Registration For IELTS – Offline Method:

  • The applicant should visit the IDP Branch / Head offices or your nearest Input Node.
  • Register online using the computer at the office and pay the test fee. You will get an immediate confirmation of your seat.
  • You must submit a photocopy of your passport (first & last page) and observation pages, if any.
  • Submit the duly signed Terms & Conditions document. Do read it properly before handing it over.
  • Finally, you will receive an instant acknowledgment letter confirming your test seat.

How To Check IDP IELTS Result?

Once you have completed the IELTS exam, you must wait for the result. The results are usually declared within a fortnight. If you have taken the computer-based exam, your result will be declared within 3 to 5 days or a week. The following are the steps to check IELTS exam results on the IELTS IDP portal.

  • The applicant will receive the computer-based results within 3 to 5 days. 
  • You will receive an intimation from your Test center about the results on the day of your result.
  • You can open the official website of IELTS IDP. 
  • Scroll down the home page, and click on the “IELTS Result” under the “Useful Links” section, or you can directly click the login button on the home page.
  • The login window will open, enter your “User Name” and  “Password” and then click on the “Submit” button.
  • Once you have logged into the portal, you can see your results.
  • From the time of declaration of the result, your result will be available online for the next 28 days.
  • You will receive your results for offline or paper-based tests within 13 calendar days from the day of your exam.

  • Credit Card/Debit Card (Visa or Master) and Netbanking.
  • Demand Draft – Ensure that the demand draft is drawn in favor of  “IDP EDUCATION INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED, Payable at New Delhi” and is made from the list of approved banks. 
  • Bank Deposit – Through a customized deposit slip which you can download from the IELTS IDP India website or obtain from the nearest IELTS IDP branch office or referral partner, candidates can deposit cash in ICICI or HDFC bank branches. It is mandatory to attach the original customer copy of the deposit slip along with the IELTS application form.
