  • The home page will appear on the screen. Here go to “Passporta and Services” and click on it.

  • On the next page, left side of the page click on the “Passports” under the “Consular services” section.

  • Now, on the right side of the page, you will see two application form links. Ie., Application for the Issuance of the Passport for ADULTS, and Application for the Issuance of the Passport for MINORS.

  • As per your requirement, you have to click on the link. Then the Italy passport application form will appear in PDF format.

  • You can download the Italy passport application form PDF and take the printout and complete the form accurately.

Book An Online Appointment For An Italian Passport:

To Book an online appointment for an Italian passport, you need to follow the below-mentioned steps.

  • Visit the official website of Italy (Consolato d’Italia Brisbane) at https://consbrisbane.esteri.it/ 
  • The home page will appear on the screen. Here go to “Passporta and Services” and click on it.
  • On the next page, left side of the page click on the “Passports” under the “Consular services” section.
  • Now, on the right side of the page, click on the “PortalBooking@Mi” link. Or you can also click on the https://prenotami.esteri.it/ link.
  • Then you will be redirected to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation portal.
  • Scroll down the page and click on the “Register” button to fill out the registration form to access the portal.
  • The registration form will appear on the screen. Here, enter the necessary details like Name, Sur Name, Place of Birth, Date of birth, Email, Create Password, Contact Details, Select Consulate, click on the check box, and then click on the “Registration” tab.

  • Then you will get an OTP to your email ID and enter the same. After that, you will receive a registration confirmation to your email Id.
  • Now, go to the login page, and log in to the portal using your ‘Email Id’ and ‘Password’.

  • After login, the system should display available dates and time slots for appointments. Choose a date and time that works best for you.
  • During the booking process, you may require to provide some personal information, like name, contact details, and passport application details. 
  • After selecting the date and time, you have to confirm your appointment booking.
  • Once you have successfully booked your appointment you should receive a confirmation message.

Important Information About Italian Passports:

  • Validity of the Passport: The validity of an Italian passport for Adults – 10 years, Minors aged between 3 and 18 – 5 years, and Minors under the age of 3 – 3 years.
  • A passport cannot be renewed: A new passport is issued with each application, it is not mandatory or necessary to apply for a new passport before the one you already have expires.
  • Passports for minor children: Each minor must have their own passport. A minor must complete the appropriate application form and have their parent’s consent in one of the following methods before a passport can be issued to them.
  • A non-EU parent signs this consent form either before a Consular officer or in front of an Australian Notary Public with subsequent legalization by DFAT by way of an apostille on the back.
  • An EU parent can sign the bottom of the child’s application form and attach a copy of their EU passport. The consent form is only valid for six months.
