  • Here, go to “Civic Services” and click on the “APPLY ONLINE – Passport & Smart ID” option from the drop-down list.

  • The eHome Affairs login page will appear on the screen. If you are not a registered customer you need to create an account. For this, you have to click on the “Go to Registration” tab.
  • The account registration page will open. Here, you need to enter all the necessary information like Title, Initials, Full name, Surname, ID number, Date of Birth, Email address, Cellphone No, and Captcha code, and then click on the “Next” button.

  • On the next page, you need to create a “Password” and “Answer” the security questions.
  • After that, you will receive a verification OTP (One Time Pin) via SMS to confirm your cellphone number. 
  • Enter the OTP and click on the ‘Submit OTP’ button. Then you will successfully Register a profile on eHome Affairs.
South African Passport Application Process:
  • Now, go to the login page and enter your “ID Number”, “Password” and ‘Capctcha Code’ and then click on the “Log On” button.

  • Again you will get an OTP to your registered mobile number enter the same and click on the “Submit” button.
  • Then the South Africa Passport Application Form will appear on the screen. Here, you need to select the application type as “Myself” or “A minor”.
  •  After that, enter the necessary details and complete the application form accurately and “Submit” it.
  • Now, you need to upload your supporting documents. After uploading the documents, you have to make the online payment.
  • You can select the payment methods as “Enter banking details” or “Pay with Credit Card”.
  • After making the payment, you can make a booking at a Home Affairs enabled Bank office.
