Telangana Rythu Bandhu Scheme Latest Updates:
On June 26, the government transferred the money from Rythu Bandhu Samaha to the accounts of farmers with less than 5 acres. However, the government has not yet transferred the money to farmers with more than 5 acres. On July 24th, the government allocated Rs.83.30 crores to 55,130 farmers with up to 5 acres and Rs. 128.56 crores to 49,990 farmers with between 5.01 and 5.11 acres. Officials from the Agriculture Department reported that on Friday (July 28th), the government deposited Rs.136.54 crores into the accounts of 49,990 farmers with up to 5.26 acres of land.
Telangana Rythu Bandhu Scheme:
The government of Telangana has introduced the Rythu Bandhu scheme to assist the farmers financially and for their development. The Rythu Bandhu was launched by the Chief Minister of Telangana state. The Telangana government introduced Rythu Bima (Farmer Gropu Life Insurance Scheme) scheme on 14th August 2018. The Rythu Bima Scheme’s main aim is to provide financial assistance and social security to family members or dependents, in case of the loss of a farmer’s life due to any reason. In the event of the loss of the farmer’s life, their families are facing several financial problems even for their daily needs. The bereaved members of the farmer’s family receive financial security and relief from the Rythu Bima. Farmers who are between the ages of 18 to 59 years are eligible for this scheme. The total premium is paid by the government to the Life Insurance Corporation of India. The insured amount of five lakhs is deposited into the designated nominee account within 10 days of the enrolled farmer’s death, due to any cause including natural death.
